We don't believe your excuses for war. We don't believe your pretended sympathy for the Iraqi people suffering under dictatorship. And really we don't think much of your talk of terrorist threat's requiring armed police and tanks at Heathrow and elsewhere. Nor do we agree with you sending 40,000 troops, along with aircraft and warships to the Gulf to act as support for Bush's warmongering.
Actually, for most people in the world (even probably for most people in England), they are not too often concerned at what government they have - their main concerns are to earn a living and to get their children educated, and politics only comes into it when these things become impossible.
So, if you have sympathy for the Iraqi people you would be ending the sanctions on Iraq which have led to a situation where more than half the population are reliant on food-aid.
Do you really believe WAR can relieve their suffering? Except to end their suffering by ending their lives!!!
And us for telling us to listen to those (few, surely!) Iraqis calling for liberation by invasion - well, all I can say to that - is that I feel sure that even if you had asked those incarcerated in Nazi concentration camps in 1938-9 there would have been very few who would have sort to ask any other country to go to unprovoked war against Germany to release them.
As to WMD - so far as Iraq is concerned (which can be no threat to distant UK) - this is completely hypocritical given the overwhelming stocks held by USA, UK, and Israel - not counting countries such as Pakistan, India, China, Russia etc. etc. etc.
And as to violation of UN resolutions - when is Israel to be held to account for its continued violation of resolutions for some 50 years of non-compliance, and for its years of terror against the Palestinians?
And remember, the intended mission of the United Nations, stated clearly in the preamble and in Arts. 1 & 2, is to maintain the peace - not to wage aggressive war.
The majority of the country are against you and Bush in this matter - and you refuse to listen.
Is this country REALLY a democracy - or is it rather an elected dictatorship?
Saddam is a human rights violator and a regional thug-Bush is a warmonger and a global thug.
NO WAR AGAINST IRAQ unless Iraq ATTACKS another country

I am deeply concerned that the human suffering caused by a war against Iraq will be horrific. There are enormous risks to Iraqi civilians' food supply, clean water, and safe sanitation, as well as the danger of many civilian casualties. No-one has shown an imminent threat to outweigh these risks.
I appeal to you NOT to start this war.
We all know that the United Nations Resolution against Iraq was gained by US blackmail. There are MANY problem governments inthe world much worse than Iraq - ISRAEL, for instance which has ignored UN resolutions for 50 years or more. They are the threat....
And as for weapons of mass destruction it is USA, UK and Israel which are the main holders of these, AND the main governments that threaten others.
